I'm Shannon, the person behind the products. I started making soap because my children have eczema and the products from the stores just seemed to be making the condition worse. So, I began my journey of finding products that were very gentle that I could make myself. I stumbled across an article detailing handmade cold process soap. Being both a science geek and princess, I totally loved the process of making soap. By hand-selecting the oils and butters based on their characteristics, and very carefully combining them with an alkali, I'm able to make some really amazing soaps that don't strip the skin of its natural oils and aren't loaded with chemicals and detergents and junk like that. For an eye-opening experience, the next time you are at the store, check out the "soaps". You will notice that NONE of them have the word "soap" on their label. That is because they are not soap (per the FDA), but actually bars of detergents. And who wants to clean their skin with detergent?!? I sure don't!
So, will my soap cure eczema? Unfortunately, no. Will it dramatically transform your skin into that of an 18-year old supermodel? Sadly, no. (Unless you ARE an 18-year old supermodel - and I have some wonderful soaps for you, too!) Will it cause you to lose weight or firm your toosh? Nope. Handmade soaps can't do any of those things, regardless of what the marketing tells you. What it will do is get you clean without stripping the skin of it's natural oils. Your skin will feel clean and soft, not stripped. Your skin will thank you. Really!
